Sumfra Guesthouse has grown into a booming little business that has led to many close friendships and memorable occasions. We attribute our success to our clean, functional rooms and good old fashioned Free State hospitality.

As the story goes, in earlier days 83 Voortrekker Street was the town’s boarding house and in the garden you can still find traces of the rooms that made up the backyard. When exactly the boarding house closed down and got partly demolished is not clear.

We like to think that we are again providing tired travelers with a hot shower, a warm bed and a delicious meal.

Finally, in a nutshell, we are committed to the idea of making your stay as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. Rooms are equipped with bedding and towels, air-conditioning for our hot summers, and electric blankets for our cooler winters.
